Private Functions and Special Events

Manou’s Cafe and Restaurant is an ideal waterfront venue for celebrating any occasion. Our colorful, rustic atmosphere is a unique and fun setting, offering indoor/outdoor dining options, live music upon request, not to mention ample parking space. Whether you’re planning a laid-back birthday party or perhaps something a little more intimate, Manou will set the mood and the table. Manou’s Function & Event Policy

Please note all Function and Event bookings must be made and confirmed with final numbers for catering a minimum of 72 hours in advance. Last minute bookings made within this period of time will attract an additional 20% administration surcharge on the final balance of your event. We therefore recommend all events are booked well in advance.

• Non Refundable Deposits: Confirmed bookings are established on receipt of the specified non-refundable deposit. The initial deposit is payable within 5 working days of the request to secure your date. Should we not receive the initial deposit within the specified time, we reserve the right to cancel the booking. Function, Meeting and Event Deposit is NZ $200.00. Please note that dates are not held and will not be secured until this deposit is paid, and deposits are not refundable under any circumstances or time periods. Therefore please be very certain before paying your deposit.

• In the event of any damages, the Client assumes full responsibility for any and all damages caused by the Client or any of the Client’s guests or invitees or other person’s attending the function, anywhere on the property.

• Clients agree to advise Manou’s a minimum of 72 hours prior of the function, the definite number of participants. This will constitute the amount of people charged for irrelevant of the number attending.

• Clients agree to begin and complete their function at the scheduled time outlined in their confirmation.

• If the venue cannot be made available to the Client for causes beyond the control of Manou’s, (For example fire, earthquake) Manou’s reserves the right to substitute a similar date but must give the Client prior notification of the change. The client under these circumstances can opt to cancel the event and have the deposit refunded in full.

• The Client agrees to make full payment immediately upon completion of the function unless prior arrangement has been authorised by the Manager.

• The menus and wine lists and their associated prices in literature are subject to change without notice.
